Russell Knox chooses unknown as World Cup partner
Cinderella Story for Duncan Stewart!

Martin Laird? Stephen Gallacher? Richie Ramsay? Nope, Russell Knox has chosen total unknown Duncan Disorderly, I mean Duncan Stewart as his World Cup partner in Melbourne next month.
"I feel like this has the potential to change Duncan's life." said Knox, "whether we finish first or last, we're going to talk about this until we're dead".
Blimey, there's no need to get all maudlin about it.
As Knoxy is Scotland's highest ranked player (19th) he can choose whoever he likes as his partner: His brother; his milkman; that bloke down the pub who said he was "well good at golf"; anyone!
Is this some kind of post Ryder Cup unrequited thing going on here? Has Knoxy gone completely bonkers? Maybe not. As Duncan explains, there is method to this apparent madness.
Duncan Stewart might be 309th in the rankings (still 437 places higher than Tiger so he should still be good for a few majors – Ed), but, as he explains, he and Knoxy go all the way back to the golfing End Zone.
"We got together at the age of 13 or 14," says Duncan. "We played junior opens and played for the district together and from there we blossomed into good friends and hopefully good team-mates in November."
I don't know about you lot but I'm putting my money on Scotland right now! This has Cinderella Story written all over it. Brilliant work, Knoxo!
