Melissa Reid wins Vic Open
In sudden death play off

Melissa Reid has won the Vic Open in Austrlia at the third hole of a sudden death play off against Germany's Sandra Gal.
Gal had had the better day of it, shooting a four under 67 whilst Melissa could only shoot a one under 72.
The first play off hole was tied, as was the second. Melissa had a twenty foot putt, but it seemed to bobble and missed to left. Sandra Gal was faced with a very makeable shorter putt, and looked odds on to clinch the victory. But she too could not find the hole, and Mel was left to tap in to take it down the third play off hole.
Gal was forced into playing a tricky lobb wedge shot as she missed the green to the left, and she had a knee–knocking five footer to secure her par.
But it just hung out there, and Mel was left with a four and half footer for victory, which she duly dispatched.
It's great to see Melissa right back on track, and in the winner's circle once again. It's Solheim Cup year and Mel will want to be firing on all cylinders for that.
