This week’s action moves to the Deutsche Bank at the TPC Boston. The course was originally designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 2003, but was then redesigned by Gil Hanse and Brad Faxon, the PGA Tour Player, in 2007. Their brief was to make the course blend more naturally into its New England setting. Here's what we think is going to be this tournament's Hell Hole.

We’ve been studying the TPC Boston course, and have identified the 18th as the card wrecking Hell Hole. It will be interesting to see if we are proved right over the course of the competition. We also wanted to see if there was a softer side to the course. There wasn’t. But we do like the look of the par 3 11th.

Someone who really caught our eye this weekend at The Barclays from Plainfield Country Club was one Zac Blair. He finished tied 4th with Zach Johnson on -10 and nine shots off the winner Jason Day.

Last year Chris Kirk won this event as the Tour makes it way to the TPC of Boston for the Deutsche Bank Championship. Is he playing well enough to put in your fantasy team this week? We reckon Keegan Bradley is a good shoout, with no worse than a top 16 finish in the event, while Jordan Spieth shot a 62 in his final round in 2013. That Barclays missed cut was only a blip...

Anyone who watched The Barclays will realise Jason Day is playing golf on a different planet to everyone else at the moment. He is absolutely munching his TaylorMade R15 460 driver off the tee, while his Spider proto putter was holing putts for fun, with a 29ft, and 33ft putts made in his final round.

It’s good news that John Daly is recovering well from this weekend’s scare. He was taken to hospital with a collapsed lung, but was released the following day, and even turned up at the event to hit a couple of shots. That’s quality. But it really was a quite serious incident.....

A new report from Sheffield Hallam University’s Sport Industry Research Centre reveals that the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles made a contribution of £106 million to the Scottish economy, which is pretty amazing for an event that’s in theory only three days long.
