Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen held her nerve to secure a dramatic play-off victory over Georgia Hall to win the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by PIF. Hall had the advantage of a three-shot cushion with five holes to play but gutsy Pedersen clawed her way back following a rollercoaster round that included six birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey.
The stage is set for a Sunday showdown at the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International Presented by PIF, with Welsh star Lydia Hall and Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen locked together at ten-under-par after rounds of 69 (-3) and 71 (-1) respectively. The halfway cut fell at +7, with 67 players advancing to the weekend.
Major-winner Georgia Hall wasted no time in laying down a marker at the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund. Held within a safe bio-secure environment, 108 of the tour’s best golfers are in the Kingdom competing for a total $1.5million prize-fund for the landmark Ladies European Tour events.
