GolfPorn central - it's Cape Kidnappers

We have drooled over Cape Kidnappers for a number of years, and it is still very much on our list of must–go–to courses. We broke Google Maps trying to find out how long it would take us to get there, but we thought we’d at least share some amazing images with you.

Cape Kidnappers is a headland at the south–eastern extremity of Hawke’s Bay on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island, and home to one of the most visually stunning golf courses in the whole wide world.

We checked out how long it would take us to drive there from GolfPunk Towers, but Google Maps melted down. But we now know that it is one day and four hours flying time, so we are going to have to find 28 hours to put a tick against this baby.

The course was designed by Tom Doakin in 2004 and was rated by Golf Digest as the 10th best course outside of the United States in 2007.

Our friends over at Top100Golfcourses.com rank it at 40^th in the world, so this is a very high quality track indeed, if just a bit of a bitch to get to.

We are thinking of pooling out Airmiles (Avios Points now Ed!) to get there, but it still very much on our radar, and we will either find a way or make a way to get there.
