Hi, it’s Maria here and today we are doing one of the exercises for your shoulder to make sure you protect your shoulder and it’s going to get stronger.
You know, many golfers have injuries to the shoulders. I got this exercise from one of the Canadian ice hockey coaches that I used to work out with, and he used to work out with ice hockey players so the physical movements and demands are really similar to golfers with the swing. It’s really easy. You just take a weight which is around one kilo (when you get stronger you can get it a little bit heavier but, for now, it’s enough).
1) So you bend your arm and take your elbow up put your weight behind your head and go straight up and then make sure you make an outwards circle down.
2) Again, bend your arm, get your elbow up, just behind your back, straighten it to the top and circle down. Make sure you have a good posture and keep breathing when you do this.
3) Don’t rock your body just keep breathing. Do up to 15 - 20 times and then change arm. Perfect, enjoy!
